| WHEREAS, Jennifer East has been honored as the 2023 Nurse | ||
| Practitioner of the Year by the Southeast Texas Nurse | ||
| Practitioners; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The Nurse Practitioner of the Year Award is | ||
| presented to an individual who demonstrates exceptional clinical | ||
| skill, compassion for patients, and commitment to advancing the | ||
| practice of nursing; Ms. East works as a nurse practitioner and | ||
| endocrinology specialist at Riceland Healthcare in Nederland, | ||
| where she has gone above and beyond to provide clients with the | ||
| highest standards of care; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Ms. East previously received the Nurse Practitioner | ||
| of the Year honor in 2015 and was also presented with the 2017 | ||
| Community Service Award; her many other accolades include being | ||
| voted "Best of the Best" in her field by the Beaumont Enterprise in | ||
| 2021; in addition to her clinical responsibilities, she has held | ||
| the offices of president, community affairs director, and treasurer | ||
| of the Southeast Texas Nurse Practitioners and served as regional | ||
| representative for the statewide Texas Nurse Practitioners | ||
| organization in 2014 and 2015; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Jennifer East has distinguished herself as an | ||
| outstanding role model for her peers in the nursing community, and | ||
| she may indeed take great pride in her receipt of this prestigious | ||
| honor; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
| Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby congratulate Jennifer East | ||
| on her selection as the 2023 Nurse Practitioner of the Year by the | ||
| Southeast Texas Nurse Practitioners and extend to her sincere best | ||
| wishes for continued success; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Ms. East as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
