| WHEREAS, Hardin-Jefferson High School junior Jamerson | ||
| Roberts has been named a Wendy's 12Star Athlete of the Week by | ||
| KBMT-TV; and | ||
| WHEREAS, A forward on the Hawks basketball team, Mr. Roberts | ||
| earned this notable honor for his outstanding play in a 65-53 | ||
| victory against Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School on | ||
| February 10, 2015; that contest proved to be his last of the season, | ||
| as he suffered a collapsed lung following the game, which will keep | ||
| him off the court until his senior year; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. Roberts has been an integral part of the Hawks | ||
| roster throughout the 2014-2015 campaign, helping the team compile | ||
| an impressive record of 17 wins and 6 losses and become district | ||
| cochampions; and | ||
| WHEREAS, This young athlete's skill and determination are an | ||
| inspiration to his teammates, his coaches, and his fellow students, | ||
| and he may take justifiable pride in his accomplishments; now, | ||
| therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Jamerson Roberts on his selection | ||
| as a Wendy's 12Star Athlete of the Week by KBMT-TV and extend to him | ||
| sincere best wishes for a speedy recovery and continued success; | ||
| and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. Roberts as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas House of Representatives. | ||
