| WHEREAS, A delegation from the Youth Lead program in Graham | ||
| is visiting the State Capitol on April 3, 2023; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Hosted by the Graham Chamber of Commerce in | ||
| partnership with Graham ISD, Youth Lead allows sophomore, junior, | ||
| and senior students from Graham High School to learn more about | ||
| their community, develop their leadership and communication | ||
| skills, and deepen their sense of civic engagement; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Youth Lead participants visit a variety of | ||
| businesses, nonprofit organizations, and governmental offices to | ||
| meet with area professionals and community leaders during monthly | ||
| sessions; the students also receive instruction in a range of | ||
| subjects, including etiquette, budgeting and financial literacy, | ||
| and the history of Graham, and they serve on an advisory council for | ||
| the school district; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Youth Lead is helping to build the next generation | ||
| of leaders in Graham, and in so doing, it is contributing to the | ||
| future prosperity of the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby commend the Youth Lead program in Graham and | ||
| extend to all those associated with the program sincere best wishes | ||
| for continued success; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Youth Lead as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
