R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Kaelin Bunting won the 62nd annual Corpus Christi
  Caller-Times South Texas Regional Spelling Bee in February 2015 to
  the delight of her family and friends; and
         WHEREAS, More than 10,000 students from 100 area elementary
  and middle schools competed in the spelling bee, with a winner from
  each school advancing to the regional competition; there, Kaelin
  bested her rivals by correctly spelling the word "nickelodeon,"
  earning a championship trophy and a spot in the Scripps National
  Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C.; and
         WHEREAS, A fifth-grader at Tuloso-Midway Intermediate School
  in Corpus Christi, Kaelin placed second in her school spelling bee
  in 2014; she is an avid reader, and at 10 years old, she has
  developed a vocabulary that would be impressive at any age; and
         WHEREAS, Kaelin Bunting has demonstrated exceptional
  intelligence, determination, and maturity in successfully pursuing
  her goal, and she is a source of great pride for her loved ones,
  school, and community; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Kaelin Bunting on winning the
  Corpus Christi Caller-Times South Texas Regional Spelling Bee and
  extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Kaelin Bunting as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
