R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, The Quanah community lost a beloved educator with
  the passing of Charles Michael Hale on June 29, 2017, at the age of
  63; and
         WHEREAS, A native and lifelong resident of Quanah, Mike Hale
  was born on December 16, 1953, to Charles Ray and JoAnn Hale, and he
  grew up with the company of a sister, Mary Jo; in December 1975, he
  married the former Robbie Justice, and the couple became the proud
  parents of a daughter, Kelsey; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Hale enjoyed a rewarding career with the Quanah
  Independent School District that spanned four decades and included
  positions as teacher, coach, and principal; over the years, he also
  led such extracurricular organizations as the UIL math team, and
  his dedication to the success and well-being of every student
  earned him the lasting respect and admiration of countless young
  people as well as his colleagues; and
         WHEREAS, A man of profound faith, Mr. Hale was a longtime
  congregant at the First United Methodist Church in Quanah;
  moreover, he was a member of the Texas Association of Basketball
  Coaches and the board of the Texas Math and Science Coaches
  Association; in addition to forging a respected career in
  education, he also engaged in farming; and
         WHEREAS, Mike Hale is deeply missed, and he will long be
  remembered with warmth and affection by all who were fortunate
  enough to know him; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Charles Michael
  Hale and extend deep sympathy to his relatives and many friends;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Charles
  Michael Hale.
