R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories
  of Bryan Kent Stewart of Lake Jackson, who passed away on October
  29, 2015, at the age of 47; and
         WHEREAS, Bryan Stewart was born on March 30, 1968, in
  Holdenville, Oklahoma; he graduated from the University of Oklahoma
  in 1991 with a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, and he
  remained an ardent Sooner fan throughout his life; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Stewart began his career in 1990, when he took a
  position as an intern with the BASF Corporation; he went on to work
  at the company's Freeport site for the next 25 years, with
  assignments in research and development, environmental health and
  safety, and super absorbent polymers; he served for seven years as
  the Texas hub safety leader, and he had recently earned promotion to
  SAP senior production manager; and
         WHEREAS, Active in the Boy Scouts of America, Mr. Stewart
  touched countless lives as a Scout leader for Troop No. 394 in Lake
  Jackson; he also led the BASF aquatics program at Camp Karankawa,
  where he shared his passion for the outdoors with his coworkers; he
  had often spoken of his desire to improve access to the camp, and
  after his passing, Brazoria County Precinct 4 and BASF collaborated
  to refurbish the road, which was named Bryan's Way in his honor; and
         WHEREAS, A devoted family man, Mr. Stewart married Kelly
  Anderson on May 18, 1991, and over the course of a rewarding union
  that spanned nearly a quarter century, they became the proud
  parents of three children, Wyatt, Dylan, and Sarah; sustained by a
  deep and abiding faith, Mr. Stewart was a deacon at The Lighthouse
  Baptist Church; he also played the drums as part of the church's
  praise team and in the BASF band Copper Road; and
         WHEREAS, Although his journey on this earth ended far too
  soon, Bryan Stewart embraced life to the fullest, and he will remain
  a vibrant presence for those he leaves behind; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Bryan Kent Stewart
  and extend sincere condolences to his relatives and many friends;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Bryan Kent
  Stewart.
