	H.R. No. 809


	R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of
	mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Donald and Patricia
	Gatlin of Midland celebrated this joyous milestone in their
	marriage on February 22, 2013; and
	WHEREAS, Donald Gatlin and the former Patricia Stuckey met on
	a blind date in Amarillo in 1962, and after their courtship they
	were joined in matrimony in 1963; in 1980, they settled in Midland,
	where they became active at First Baptist Church; and
	WHEREAS, Over the course of their marriage, Mr. and
	Mrs. Gatlin have found in each other a loving life partner, and they
	count among their blessings a fine family that includes two
	children as well as six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren;
	and
	WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Gatlin have enjoyed five decades of
	abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an
	exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting
	commitment; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
	Legislature hereby congratulate Donald and Patricia Gatlin on their
	golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes
	for continued happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
	prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Gatlin as an expression of high regard by
	the Texas House of Representatives.
