R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Imelda Rodriguez has served as director of tourism
for the Edinburg Convention and Visitors Bureau for a decade, and
she is indeed deserving of special recognition for her dedication
and achievements; and
WHEREAS, Assuming her role in 2005, Ms. Rodriguez
coordinates with the Edinburg Chamber of Commerce and other local
organizations to promote tourism and provide services to area
citizens and visitors; and
WHEREAS, The exemplary commitment and professionalism
demonstrated by Imelda Rodriguez throughout her tenure has greatly
benefited her community and has earned her the lasting respect of
her fellow citizens; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Imelda Rodriguez for her service as
director of tourism for the Edinburg Convention and Visitors Bureau
and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be
it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Rodriguez as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
