| WHEREAS, Lisa Loughney of Dallas is retiring from the Texas | ||
| Comptroller of Public Accounts on March 31, 2017, bringing to a | ||
| close an outstanding tenure with the agency that has spanned nearly | ||
| three decades; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Ms. Loughney began her career in state government in | ||
| 1990 as an auditor in the Comptroller's Field Division in Houston, | ||
| and she transferred to the Dallas West Audit office six years later; | ||
| she became team leader in 2011 and earned a promotion to supervisor | ||
| later that year; and | ||
| WHEREAS, In all her endeavors, Ms. Loughney has enjoyed the | ||
| love and support of her family, which includes her husband, Tom, her | ||
| children, Lauren and Fred, her daughter-in-law, Karen, and her | ||
| grandson, Freddie; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Lisa Loughney's dedication, professionalism, and | ||
| commitment to excellence have earned her the respect and admiration | ||
| of her colleagues, and she may indeed reflect with pride on a career | ||
| well spent as she embarks on the next exciting chapter of her life; | ||
| now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Lisa Loughney on her retirement | ||
| from the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts and extend to her | ||
| sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Ms. Loughney as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas House of Representatives. | ||
