| WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced | ||
| by a great and enduring love, Merlin and Delores Schwenk of | ||
| Georgetown celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on February | ||
| 18, 2011; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Schwenk were united in matrimony at | ||
| Packer Memorial Church on the campus of Lehigh University in | ||
| Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, in 1956; through the years, they have | ||
| nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer with | ||
| the addition of two sons; and | ||
| WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past 55 | ||
| years, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant in | ||
| their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love has | ||
| enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with grace | ||
| and optimism; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Merlin and Delores Schwenk on their | ||
| 55th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for | ||
| continued happiness; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Schwenk as an expression of high regard by | ||
| the Texas House of Representatives. | ||
