| WHEREAS, Women's History Month is held in March to celebrate | ||
| the myriad contributions made by women in every field and facet of | ||
| our society, and this observance provides a fitting opportunity to | ||
| recognize the exemplary service of Marcela Navarrete; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Ms. Navarrete has distinguished herself through her | ||
| dedicated efforts as the first female chief financial officer of El | ||
| Paso Water, and the skill and professionalism she has demonstrated | ||
| in this important role have earned her the respect and admiration of | ||
| her fellow Texans; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Through her deep commitment to her duties, | ||
| Ms. Navarrete greatly benefits the customers she serves, and her | ||
| achievements make her a worthy role model for other women in public | ||
| utility administration; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The Lone Star State is fortunate to have passionate | ||
| and engaged leaders like Marcela Navarrete, and she may take | ||
| justifiable pride in her contributions and in the inspiring example | ||
| she has set for others; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby commend Marcela Navarrete for her service as the | ||
| first female chief financial officer of El Paso Water and extend to | ||
| her sincere best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors; | ||
| and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Ms. Navarrete as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas House of Representatives. | ||
