| WHEREAS, David Sanchez Latorre has been named the 2025 | ||
| Teacher of the Year at Cook Elementary School in the Austin | ||
| Independent School District; and | ||
| WHEREAS, A solid education is vital for young people to | ||
| become successful and productive adults, and those men and women | ||
| who dedicate their careers to teaching make a positive difference | ||
| in the lives of their students and in the greater community; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The Campus Teacher of the Year award recognizes | ||
| full-time educators or interventionists who have taught in Austin | ||
| ISD for at least three years and have demonstrated an unwavering | ||
| commitment to inspiring a love of learning, building collaborative | ||
| relationships, and creating learning experiences that lead to high | ||
| expectations and positive outcomes; honorees are first nominated | ||
| for consideration by their fellow faculty members, and campus | ||
| winners become eligible for the district title; and | ||
| WHEREAS, David Sanchez Latorre exemplifies the passion, | ||
| determination, and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our | ||
| best teachers, and he has set a standard of excellence to which all | ||
| in his profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate David Sanchez Latorre on his | ||
| selection as the 2025 Teacher of the Year at Cook Elementary School | ||
| and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success with his | ||
| important work; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. Sanchez Latorre as an expression of high regard by | ||
| the Texas House of Representatives. | ||
