R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The city of Edinburg has been named the Most
  Affordable College Town in the United States by WalletHub; and
         WHEREAS, In compiling its ratings of the Best College Towns
  and Cities in America, WalletHub conducted an extensive analysis of
  415 cities with college or university populations exceeding 7,500
  students; and
         WHEREAS, WalletHub's evaluators considered a number of
  factors critical to students and residents alike, among them
  housing costs, monthly fitness club fees, and the average prices of
  pizza, burgers, movies, and bowling; the cost of higher education
  also played a pivotal role in determining the final rankings; and
         WHEREAS, The city of Edinburg has worked with The University
  of Texas Rio Grande Valley to foster a vibrant community where
  Texans can readily access a top-notch higher education and enjoy a
  high quality of life without incurring a heavy financial burden,
  and this accolade is a tribute to the strength of their
  collaboration; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby congratulate the city of
  Edinburg on being named the Most Affordable College Town in the
  United States by WalletHub and extend to city officials and staff
  sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the city as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
