| WHEREAS, Joe Degollado retired from the Webb County Sheriff's | ||
| Office on December 31, 2018, drawing to a close a notable career in | ||
| law enforcement that has spanned nearly four and a half decades; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Over the course of his 44 years in law enforcement, | ||
| Mr. Degollado demonstrated an impressive dedication to the highest | ||
| standards of his profession and a tireless commitment to protecting | ||
| the lives and property of the citizens he so ably served, and along | ||
| the way, he earned the lasting respect and admiration of his fellow | ||
| officers; and | ||
| WHEREAS, In retirement, Mr. Degollado plans to spend more | ||
| time with his four grandchildren, and he also looks forward to | ||
| cooking out and watching sports with his family and friends; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. Degollado's expertise, professionalism, and | ||
| devotion to duty have greatly benefited the citizens of Webb | ||
| County, and he may indeed reflect with pride on a career well spent | ||
| as he embarks upon the next exciting chapter of his life; now, | ||
| therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Joe Degollado on his retirement | ||
| from the Webb County Sheriff's Office and extend to him sincere best | ||
| wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. Degollado as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas House of Representatives. | ||
