| WHEREAS, Satish Seth enjoyed a highly successful and | ||
| productive engineering career that spanned several decades, during | ||
| which time he worked on an array of projects that continue to | ||
| benefit his fellow citizens in Houston and beyond; and | ||
| WHEREAS, An alumnus of Bhopal University in India, Satish | ||
| Seth has been hired to oversee civil engineering efforts for both | ||
| private businesses and government agencies; his employers have | ||
| included Brown and Root, where he worked for over 25 years, and CE | ||
| Webber, where he worked for a decade; in addition, he was affiliated | ||
| with the City of Houston for five years, and he was notably involved | ||
| in the construction of a number of roadways around Houston, | ||
| including large parts of Interstates 10 and 45, as well as roads at | ||
| George Bush Intercontinental Airport; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. Seth also assisted in building Hindu community | ||
| temples, and since his retirement, he has remained active with | ||
| Hindu and Sikh worship societies and other religious groups; he has | ||
| long been a role model for his community, and he has supported | ||
| up-and-coming engineers by helping them to secure well-paying job | ||
| opportunities; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Satish Seth has consistently upheld the highest | ||
| standards of his profession, and his contributions to his state and | ||
| community will be appreciated for years to come; now, therefore, be | ||
| it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas | ||
| Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby honor Satish Seth for his | ||
| achievements as a professional engineer and extend to him sincere | ||
| best wishes for the future; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. Seth as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
