| WHEREAS, Women's History Month is held in March to celebrate | ||
| the myriad contributions made by women in every field and facet of | ||
| our society, and this observance provides a fitting opportunity to | ||
| recognize the exemplary service of Angie Sommers; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Constable Sommers has distinguished herself through | ||
| her dedicated efforts as the Precinct 7 constable of El Paso County, | ||
| and the skill and professionalism she has demonstrated in this | ||
| important role have earned her the respect and admiration of her | ||
| fellow Texans; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Through her deep commitment to her duties, Constable | ||
| Sommers greatly benefits the citizens she serves, and her | ||
| achievements make her a worthy role model for other women in law | ||
| enforcement; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The Lone Star State is fortunate to have passionate | ||
| and engaged leaders like Angie Sommers, and she may take | ||
| justifiable pride in her contributions and in the inspiring example | ||
| she has set for others; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby commend Angie Sommers for her service as the | ||
| Precinct 7 constable of El Paso County and extend to her sincere | ||
| best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it | ||
| further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Constable Sommers as an expression of high regard by | ||
| the Texas House of Representatives. | ||
