R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Jesse Balderas was honored as the Firefighter of the
Year of Granite Shoals Fire Rescue at the Hill Country 100 Club
Membership/Awards Banquet on January 15, 2015; and
WHEREAS, Founded in 2002, the Hill Country 100 Club provides
valuable support to first responders in Central Texas; each year,
the organization's awards banquet honors outstanding peace
officers, firefighters, emergency medical personnel, and support
staff in Burnet, Llano, Blanco, and Lampasas Counties; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Balderas became a resident of Granite Shoals in
1996, and he has been a valued member of Granite Shoals Fire Rescue
for nearly two decades; and
WHEREAS, Through his skill and dedication to duty, Jesse
Balderas has contributed immeasurably to the safety and well-being
of his fellow citizens, and he may indeed reflect with pride on his
exceptional service; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Jesse Balderas on his selection as
the Hill Country 100 Club Firefighter of the Year of Granite Shoals
Fire Rescue and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
success with his important work; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Balderas as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
