| WHEREAS, Seventh grade history students from Texas Middle | ||
| School in Texarkana are visiting the State Capitol on March 4, 2011, | ||
| to learn more about the government and history of the Lone Star | ||
| State; and | ||
| WHEREAS, With the 82nd Legislative Session well under way, | ||
| the Capitol Complex is a source of great activity, offering | ||
| visitors an excellent opportunity to see their state government in | ||
| action firsthand; and | ||
| WHEREAS, While in Austin, these notable Texans will tour the | ||
| Capitol and increase their awareness of the fascinating history of | ||
| this monument to freedom and democracy; they will also travel to San | ||
| Antonio to celebrate the anniversary of the Battle of the Alamo; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The Texas Capitol is an ideal setting for young and | ||
| old alike to discover the rich heritage of the Lone Star State and | ||
| to gain insight into the workings of our state legislature, and it | ||
| is a pleasure to welcome members of the Texas Middle School | ||
| community to Austin; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby commend the visiting seventh grade students from | ||
| Texas Middle School on their interest in state government and | ||
| extend to them sincere best wishes for an informative and memorable | ||
| visit to the Capitol; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
