| WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the untimely loss of | ||
| Brian Joseph Studer of Frisco, who passed away on February 6, 2017, | ||
| at the age of 44; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Born on July 27, 1972, Brian Studer attended | ||
| R. L. Turner High School in Carrollton and St. John's Northwestern | ||
| Military Academy in Delafield, Wisconsin; raised in a family of | ||
| aviation enthusiasts, he went on to serve his country in the United | ||
| States Air Force; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Brian Studer remained passionate about flying | ||
| throughout his life, and he developed a special affinity for the | ||
| QU-22, an aircraft flown by the 554th Reconnaissance "Vampires" | ||
| Squadron during the Vietnam War; for years, Mr. Studer and his | ||
| family were involved in organizing reunions for former members of | ||
| the squadron, and he spent many hours researching and documenting | ||
| the history of the QU-22; he was a maintenance operations manager | ||
| and pilot at Tailwinds Aviation; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Kind and thoughtful, Mr. Studer was always willing | ||
| to help others when needed, and he was deeply committed to honoring | ||
| his fellow veterans who had given so much for their nation; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Although he will be greatly missed, Brian Studer | ||
| left a profound impression on all those who were fortunate enough to | ||
| know him, and he will forever hold a cherished place in their | ||
| hearts; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Brian Joseph Studer | ||
| and extend sincere condolences to his family and friends; and, be it | ||
| further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of | ||
| Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Brian | ||
| Studer. | ||
