| WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced | ||
| by a great and enduring love, Bob and Bernice Priddy of Troy | ||
| celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on February 3, 2011; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Bobby E. Priddy and the former Bernice Brown were | ||
| united in matrimony in Lancaster in 1951; through the years, they | ||
| have nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer | ||
| with the addition of two children, Bobby Priddy, Jr., and his wife, | ||
| Judy, and Connie Priddy, as well as two grandchildren; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Priddy both worked at the Western Auto | ||
| Distribution Center in Temple until their retirement; since 1975, | ||
| they have lived near Troy, where they are members of the First | ||
| Baptist Church; and | ||
| WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past six | ||
| decades, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant in | ||
| their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love has | ||
| enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with grace | ||
| and optimism; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Bob and Bernice Priddy on their | ||
| 60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for | ||
| continued happiness; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Priddy as an expression of high regard by | ||
| the Texas House of Representatives. | ||
