| WHEREAS, Marnie Rocha has been named the new associate | ||
| superintendent of the Canutillo Independent School District, and | ||
| this achievement indeed merits special recognition; and | ||
| WHEREAS, In the course of her 28 years in education, | ||
| Ms. Rocha has served Canutillo ISD as the principal of Alderete | ||
| Middle School and as the district's executive director of | ||
| curriculum and instruction; she holds a bachelor's degree in | ||
| history and a master's degree in education from The University of | ||
| Texas at El Paso; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Marnie Rocha's dedication and expertise have | ||
| greatly benefited Canutillo ISD over the years, and the experience | ||
| she has acquired along the way will serve her well as she takes on | ||
| this challenging new role; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Marnie Rocha on her selection as | ||
| associate superintendent of the Canutillo Independent School | ||
| District and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, | ||
| be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Ms. Rocha as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
