	H.R. No. 607



	R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The South Texas Pregnancy Care Center in Seguin
	serves as a resource for women in need; and
	WHEREAS, Dedicated to providing for those affected by an
	unplanned pregnancy, the center offers peer counseling in addition
	to free pregnancy testing and first trimester ultrasounds; the
	center also seeks to prevent crisis pregnancies by empowering young
	people to choose abstinence until marriage; and
	WHEREAS, The organization's vision is to build a culture of
	life in which help and healing are available to women faced with the
	challenge of an unexpected pregnancy, and its staff and volunteers
	bring to their efforts a strong Christian faith; and
	WHEREAS, The South Texas Pregnancy Care Center is making a
	positive difference in the lives of area women, and it is a pleasure
	to recognize the center for its contributions to this profound
	cause; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
	Legislature hereby recognize February 26, 2013, as South Texas
	Pregnancy Care Center Day at the State Capitol and extend to all
	those associated with the organization sincere best wishes for
	continued success with their important work; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
	prepared for the center as an expression of high regard by the Texas
	House of Representatives.
