R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Moore County Hospital District (MCHD) was named a
  Top Performer on Key Quality Measures by The Joint Commission in
  September 2012; and
         WHEREAS, An independent, nonprofit accreditation agency, The
  Joint Commission certifies more than 19,000 health care
  institutions nationwide; its annual Top Performers program
  recognizes hospitals that achieve excellence in evidence-based
  treatments for heart failure, pneumonia, children's asthma, and
  stroke, among other conditions; and
         WHEREAS, Inclusion among the Top Performers puts MCHD in the
  top 18 percent of more than 3,400 accredited hospital systems
  across the nation, and MCHD is one of only 244 hospitals that have
  earned this distinction two years in a row; in addition, its
  Memorial Home Health program has been placed by the commission
  among the nation's top 25 percent of home health agencies; and
         WHEREAS, For more than six decades, Moore County Hospital
  District has provided outstanding hospital services for the
  residents of the Panhandle, and this prestigious national
  recognition represents a fitting tribute to the skill, hard work,
  and care of the district's board of directors, health care
  personnel, allied health personnel, volunteers, and
  administration; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Moore County Hospital District on
  being named a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures by The Joint
  Commission and extend sincere best wishes to the members of the
  district's board and staff for continued success in their important
  work; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Moore County Hospital District as an expression of
  high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
