| WHEREAS, Ian Martinez-Negrete of Cub Scout Pack No. 701 in | ||
| Carrollton is receiving the Arrow of Light Award on February 27, | ||
| 2011, and his accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and | ||
| WHEREAS, A program of the Boy Scouts of America, the Cub Scout | ||
| organization emphasizes character development, community service, | ||
| physical fitness, religious faith, and patriotism; the Arrow of | ||
| Light is the highest award in the Cub Scouts, presented to Webelos | ||
| Scouts who have earned eight activity badges and have demonstrated | ||
| a thorough knowledge of the requirements necessary to become a Boy | ||
| Scout; and | ||
| WHEREAS, In fulfilling the criteria necessary for achieving | ||
| the Arrow of Light Award, Mr. Martinez-Negrete has worked hard to | ||
| reach his goal, and he may indeed reflect with pride on a job well | ||
| done; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Ian Martinez-Negrete on receiving | ||
| the Cub Scout Arrow of Light Award and extend to him sincere best | ||
| wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. Martinez-Negrete as an expression of high regard | ||
| by the Texas House of Representatives. | ||
