	H.R. No. 561



	R E S O L U T I O N

	WHEREAS, Texas is home to more than 250 operating craft
	breweries and brewpubs, and the industry's employees share a unique
	passion for their work, taking great pride in creating products of
	the highest caliber; and
	WHEREAS, The Texas craft brewing industry is a key driver of
	economic development, contributing billions to the state's
	economy, thanks to legislation passed by the 83rd Texas
	Legislature; this sector employs more than 30,000 Texans, and
	continued legislative support will bolster its booming financial
	impact in the years to come; and
	WHEREAS, Producing over one million barrels of craft beer
	annually, the state's brewers have garnered national and
	international recognition for the superior quality of their work,
	receiving awards at the Great American Beer Festival and the World
	Beer Cup; and
	WHEREAS, Through charitable giving and the building of
	community gathering spaces, the Texas craft brewing industry brings
	residents together in a special way while creating an attractive
	environment that pulls in tourists, further boosting the state's
	economy; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas
	Legislature hereby recognize February 25, 2019, as Texas Craft
	Brewers Day at the State Capitol and extend to the visiting
	participants sincere best wishes for an informative and memorable
	day in Austin.
