| WHEREAS, Plano Republican Women has supported endeavors to | ||
| build the Republican Party at the local, state, and national levels | ||
| for more than 50 years; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Founded in 1962, the Plano Republican Women's Club | ||
| was the first organization of its kind in Collin County, and its | ||
| members are dedicated to advancing conservative principles and | ||
| helping Republicans win elected office; they also work to promote | ||
| the standing of women by encouraging their involvement with | ||
| political matters; through grassroots activism and a wide range of | ||
| experiences, opinions, and cultures, the group is helping to | ||
| develop leaders and is creating continued momentum for change; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Dedicated to their convictions, members of Plano | ||
| Republican Women may reflect with pride on their achievements as | ||
| they work to see women from all age groups and walks of life become | ||
| key players at the political table; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby recognize the members of Plano Republican Women | ||
| and commend them for their civic engagement; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
