	H.R. No. 552



	R E S O L U T I O N

	WHEREAS, Members of the Bentwood Republican Women's Club of
	Dallas play an active and vital role in their North Texas community;
	and
	WHEREAS, This notable group is an affiliate of the Texas
	Federation of Republican Women, which boasts more than 10,000
	members and over 160 clubs throughout the state; and
	WHEREAS, The Bentwood Republican Women's Club works
	diligently to promote the principles and candidates of the
	Republican Party and to actively encourage Republican women to run
	for office; and
	WHEREAS, Under the leadership of president Donna Starnes, the
	group trains women to become effective volunteers and undertakes
	special projects in behalf of the party, while also working to
	promote an informed electorate; and
	WHEREAS, Through their grassroots political activism,
	members of the Bentwood Republican Women's Club are making a
	lasting difference in their community, state, and nation, and they
	may take justifiable pride in their rich history of civic
	engagement; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
	Legislature hereby honor the Bentwood Republican Women's Club for
	its many accomplishments and extend to its members sincere best
	wishes for the future; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
	prepared for the club as an expression of high regard by the Texas
	House of Representatives.
