R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced
by a great and enduring love, Delbert and Pearl Fahrner of Hewitt
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on February 4, 2013; and
WHEREAS, Delbert Fahrner and the former Pearl Eloise Preston
met at their job in Ashland, Virginia, and they were joined in
matrimony in 1963; through the years, they have nurtured a
fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer with the
addition of three children, Patricia and her husband, Nicholas,
Delbert and his sweetheart, Cindy, and Randy and his wife, Rachel,
as well as nine grandchildren, D. J., Sherianne, Nicholas, Haleigh,
Ireland, Joshua, Clayton, Madison, and Zaylie; and
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past
half-century, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant
in their commitment to each other, and the strength of their love
has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with
grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Rep
resentatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Delbert and Pearl Fahrner on their
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes
for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Fahrner as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
