| WHEREAS, Members of the Texas Food & Fuel Association are | ||
| visiting the State Capitol on February 21, 2017; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Founded in 1949, the Texas Food & Fuel Association | ||
| is a nonprofit organization representing more than 700 companies in | ||
| the wholesale and retail segments of the fuel marketing, | ||
| convenience, and food industries; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The organization's member companies own, operate, | ||
| and supply more than 12,000 convenience stores across the state, | ||
| and they distribute approximately nine billion gallons of gasoline | ||
| and diesel fuel each year, both to motorists and to commercial and | ||
| industrial users; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Under the leadership of its current chair, Madalyne | ||
| Lange, the association advocates on behalf of its members' | ||
| interests and provides networking, educational, and professional | ||
| development opportunities as well as resources to help stakeholders | ||
| assess industry trends and market conditions; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Since its inception, the Texas Food & Fuel | ||
| Association has worked diligently to support the growth and | ||
| development of a vital sector of the economy, and all those | ||
| associated with the group may take pride in the contributions they | ||
| make to the prosperity of the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby honor the members of the Texas Food & Fuel | ||
| Association on the occasion of their visit to the State Capitol and | ||
| extend to them sincere best wishes for an enjoyable and informative | ||
| event; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for the association as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas House of Representatives. | ||
