R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced
  by a great and enduring love, Sherman and Elaine Wright of Midland
  celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on December 24, 2010; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Wright were united in matrimony at
  Fundamental Baptist Church in Sweetwater in 1960; through the
  years, they have nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has been made
  even richer with the addition of their children, David Wright and
  Ricky Wright and his wife, Beverly; they have been further blessed
  with six grandchildren and a great-grandchild; and
         WHEREAS, Residents of Midland for 35 years, Mr. Wright worked
  for Lucent Technology, formerly Western Electric, and retired in
  2001 and Mrs. Wright is a homemaker; and
         WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past
  half-century, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant
  in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love
  has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with
  grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Sherman and Elaine Wright on their
  golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes
  for continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Wright as an expression of high regard by
  the Texas House of Representatives.
