R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Robert A. Sitton has been named the 2012 Hayden
  McKay, M.D., Citizen of the Year by the Lake Houston Area Chamber of
  Commerce; and
         WHEREAS, Deeply committed to his community, Mr. Sitton has
  benefited his fellow residents in numerous ways; a valued member of
  the chamber's board of directors, he has led a number of the
  organization's initiatives in his roles as chair of the Chamber
  Classic Task Force and as co-chair of the 2012 Total Resource
  Campaign; and
         WHEREAS, This dynamic Texan has served the greater community
  as a trustee of the Humble Independent School District and as a
  member of the executive board of the Humble ISD Education
  Foundation; moreover, he has served on the Kingwood Medical Center
  Board of Directors and on the Houston Livestock Show committee
  leadership team; and
         WHEREAS, Born and raised in Humble, Mr. Sitton graduated from
  Sam Houston State University and began his career as a coach at
  Aldine High School, where he guided the varsity football team to a
  Texas 5A State Championship win in 1990; two years later, he was
  named Texas High School Football All-Star Coach; while he has
  enjoyed a successful career in financial management at Edward Jones
  Investments for the past decade, he has continued his involvement
  in youth sports through his work with such organizations as the
  Humble Baseball Association, the Atascocita Basketball
  Association, and the Humble Area Football League; and
         WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Sitton enjoys the support
  of a loving family that includes his wife, Jen, and their four
  children; and
         WHEREAS, Richly deserving of special recognition, Robert
  Sitton has made innumerable contributions to his community, and in
  so doing, he has set an inspiring example of civic engagement; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Robert A. Sitton on his receipt of
  the 2012 Hayden McKay, M.D., Citizen of the Year award from the Lake
  Houston Area Chamber of Commerce and extend to him sincere best
  wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Sitton as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
