R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of
mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Skip and Paulette
Hunter of Waco celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage
on January 3, 2017; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Hunter were joined in matrimony on that
memorable day in 1967; over the years, they have been blessed with a
treasured family that includes their two sons, Lance and Allen and
his wife, Jerri, as well as their grandchildren, Robin, Rachel,
Jonathan, Aaron, and Austin, and great-granddaughter, Emery; and
WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mrs. Hunter is
retired from the Waco Center for Youth and Mr. Hunter worked for the
MKT/Union Pacific Railroad for 41 years; the couple count
traveling, antiquing, and spending time with family among their
favorite pastimes; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Hunter have enjoyed five decades of
abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an
exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting
commitment; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Skip and Paulette Hunter on their
50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
