| WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced | ||
| by a great and enduring love, Leroy and Ora Mae Simek of Waco | ||
| celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on December 31, 2012; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Simek were united in matrimony in 1952 | ||
| by the Reverend Michael O'Reagan in a ceremony held at St. Ann's | ||
| Catholic Church in Rosebud; the couple settled in Waco in 1956 and | ||
| are faithful congregants at St. Louis Catholic Church; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Through the years, the Simeks have nurtured a | ||
| fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer with the | ||
| addition of their children, Quinn Simek and Peggy Pepin; in | ||
| addition to their children, Mr. and Mrs. Simek have welcomed into | ||
| the world five grandchildren, Roger and Rory Simek, Rebecca Jones, | ||
| Reagen Hines, and Matthew Reyes, as well as five | ||
| great-grandchildren, Madison Garcia, Tanner and Abigail Simek, | ||
| Jaxon Jones, and Gianna Reyes; and | ||
| WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past six | ||
| decades, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant in | ||
| their commitment to each other, and the strength of their love has | ||
| enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with grace | ||
| and optimism; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Leroy and Ora Mae Simek on their | ||
| 60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for | ||
| continued happiness; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Simek as an expression of high regard by | ||
| the Texas House of Representatives. | ||
