R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Joshua Chari, a senior at the Lloyd V. Berkner High
  School STEM Academy in Richardson, has distinguished himself as the
  first high school student in the nation to earn seven associate's
  degrees, and his achievements are indeed worthy of special
  recognition; and
         WHEREAS, The son of proud parents Raj and Manjusha Chari,
  Joshua Chari received associate's degrees in liberal sciences and
  in software engineering from Richland College of the Dallas County
  Community College District during his junior year of high school,
  and as a senior, he has completed five more degrees in such
  disciplines as computer engineering, electrical engineering,
  computer science, telecommunications engineering, and biomedical
  engineering; in addition, he is currently working toward his eighth
  associate's degree in mechanical engineering; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Chari has demonstrated a notable passion for
  engineering and technology from a young age, and over the years, he
  has been involved in research and development, inventions, computer
  hardware and programming, and robotics; moreover, he has gained
  valuable work experience at a local engineering firm through the
  Richardson Independent School District Professional Internship
  Program; after graduation, he plans to pursue bachelor's and
  master's degrees in both mechanical and biomedical engineering and
  minor in business and nanotechnology; and
         WHEREAS, Throughout his academic career, Joshua Chari has
  garnered the respect and admiration of his teachers and classmates
  at Berkner High, and his exceptional scholastic ability, hard work,
  and commitment to excellence have opened the way to limitless
  opportunities for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore, be
  it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Joshua Chari on his exceptional
  scholastic accomplishments and extend to him best wishes for
  continued success in all his endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Chari as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
