R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Distinguished representatives from the Texas Food &
  Fuel Association are gathering in Austin on February 17, 2015, for
  their legislative day at the State Capitol; and
         WHEREAS, Representing more than 700 companies in the
  wholesale and retail segments of the fuel, marketing, convenience,
  and food industries, the Texas Food & Fuel Association advocates
  for a positive legislative and regulatory environment while working
  to enhance business and professional opportunities for its
  membership; and
         WHEREAS, The organization, which traces its origins to 1949,
  has operated under its current banner since 2012, when the Texas
  Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Store Association and the Texas
  Grocery and Convenience Association merged; today, under the able
  leadership of chair Gary Johnson, the group provides services to
  member companies that own, operate, and supply in excess of 12,000
  convenience stores and distribute approximately seven billion
  gallons of fuel each year; and
         WHEREAS, Through their dedicated efforts, the members of the
  Texas Food & Fuel Association are demonstrating their continued
  commitment to the economic vitality of the Lone Star State, and
  their legislative day provides a welcome opportunity to acknowledge
  the important work they do; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby recognize members of the Texas Food & Fuel
  Association and extend to all those visiting sincere best wishes
  for an enjoyable and informative event; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
