| WHEREAS, The Honey Grove Middle School Warriors Band has been | ||
| named the 2011 Class 1C State Honor Band by the Texas Music | ||
| Educators Association; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The 32-member ensemble bested bands from across | ||
| Texas and became the first group in Honey Grove Middle School's | ||
| history to bring home this prestigious title; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Under the leadership of band directors Dennis and Jo | ||
| Ann Syring, these hardworking and talented students have earned | ||
| great distinction for themselves, their school, and their | ||
| community; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate the Honey Grove Middle School | ||
| Warriors Band on being named the 2011 Class 1C State Honor Band by | ||
| the Texas Music Educators Association and extend to the band | ||
| members and directors sincere best wishes for continued success; | ||
| and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
