H.R. No. 445

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, February 4, 2011, marked the 50th wedding
anniversary of Robert and Patsy Skidmore of Paris, Texas, providing
a fitting opportunity to reflect on their memorable journey
together as husband and wife; and
WHEREAS, Robert Skidmore and the former Patsy Cope were
joined in matrimony in 1961, at a ceremony held in Paris; through
the years, they have been blessed with a treasured family that
includes two sons and their wives, Rusty and Carla Skidmore and
Rodney and Felecia Skidmore, as well as three grandchildren,
Kaitlyn, Elisha, and Jacob; and
WHEREAS, Now both retired, Mr. Skidmore was employed with
Varco and Mrs. Skidmore worked for Liberty National Bank; and
WHEREAS, The 50 years of marriage that Mr. and Mrs. Skidmore
have shared is eloquent affirmation of the meaning of love and
commitment, and their enduring union is an inspiration to all who
know them; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Robert and Patsy Skidmore on their
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes
for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Skidmore as an expression of high regard
by the Texas House of Representatives.
