H.R. No. 426

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Buster and Mary H. Walker of Mt. Pleasant
celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary on December 5, 2014, and
they may indeed reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they
have shared; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Walker exchanged the vows of matrimony
in Titus County in 1942, while Mr. Walker was on leave from the
coast guard, and over the course of their marriage, they have found
in each other a loving life partner; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Walker count among their blessings a
fine family that includes their four children, Billy Walker, Bobby
Walker, Cher Underwood, and John Walker, as well as nine
grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, with whom they
treasure sharing many special occasions; and
WHEREAS, For more than seven decades, Buster and Mary Walker
have brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion,
and it is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Buster and Mary H. Walker on their
72nd wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
