	H.R. No. 413



	R E S O L U T I O N

	WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced
	by a great and enduring love, Robert and Gay McGregor of Mount
	Pleasant celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on September 12,
	2014; and
	WHEREAS, Robert McGregor and the former Gay King were united
	in matrimony in 1949; through the years, they have nurtured a
	fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer with the
	addition of their children, Judy Fuquay, Dean McGregor and his
	wife, Kelly, and Debra Thompson and her husband, Sonny; later in
	life, they have been blessed with five grandchildren and six
	great-grandchildren; and
	WHEREAS, A veteran of World War II, Mr. McGregor was a truck
	driver until his retirement, and Mrs. McGregor worked as a waitress
	and in a sewing factory; strong in their religious faith, they have
	been members of Highland Park Baptist Church for more than half a
	century; and
	WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past six
	and a half decades, this devoted husband and wife have remained
	constant in their commitment to each other, and the strength of
	their love has enabled them to meet life's challenges and
	opportunities with grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
	Legislature hereby congratulate Robert and Gay McGregor on their
	65th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
	continued happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
	prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas
	House of Representatives.
