R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Johnnie and Jan Stone of Emory celebrated their 50th
wedding anniversary on July 4, 2014, and they may indeed reflect
with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared; and
WHEREAS, On that memorable day in 1964, Mr. and Mrs. Stone
exchanged the vows of matrimony at Yuba Baptist Church in Yuba,
Oklahoma, and over the course of their marriage, they have found in
each other a loving life partner; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Stone count among their blessings a
fine family that includes their children, Jeannie, Johnnie and his
wife, Dani, and Sylvia, as well as their grandchildren, Kirbee,
Karlee, Kallie, Aubrey, Braelie, and Connor, with whom they
treasure spending many special occasions; and
WHEREAS, For half a century, Johnnie and Jan Stone have
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Johnnie and Jan Stone on their
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes
for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
