R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Waco High School educator Ramiro Salazar has been
named the 2014 Region 3 Assistant Coach of the Year by the Texas
Association of Soccer Coaches; and
WHEREAS, Coach Salazar has distinguished himself through his
contributions to the Waco High soccer program, in which his
responsibilities include overseeing the Lions junior varsity
squad; a respected member of the school faculty, he also serves as
an assistant coach for the football team and teaches Spanish; and
WHEREAS, In claiming this prestigious honor, Coach Salazar
has become the first individual in school history to be recognized
by TASCO as the region's most outstanding assistant coach; and
WHEREAS, Ramiro Salazar's leadership and commitment to
excellence have resulted in an admirable record of achievement at
Waco High School, and his inspired guidance has helped his young
athletes to realize their full potential; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Ramiro Salazar on his selection as
the 2014 TASCO Region 3 Assistant Coach of the Year and extend to
him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Coach Salazar as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
