	H.R. No. 385



	R E S O L U T I O N

	WHEREAS, Dr. Edwin Trevathan has deservedly been appointed
	executive vice president and provost of Baylor University, and this
	achievement indeed merits special recognition; and
	WHEREAS, A pediatric neurologist, Dr. Trevathan currently
	serves as dean of the College for Public Health and Social Justice
	at Saint Louis University; previously, he was a professor of
	neurology and pediatrics in the School of Medicine at Washington
	University, where he directed both the Pediatric Epilepsy Center
	and the Division of Pediatric and Developmental Neurology; and
	WHEREAS, Dr. Trevathan's distinguished career has also
	included tenures as neurologist-in-chief at St. Louis Children's
	Hospital and as the director of the Centers for Disease Control and
	Prevention National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental
	Disabilities; and
	WHEREAS, The dedication and expertise of Dr. Edwin Trevathan
	have greatly benefited his students, colleagues, and patients over
	the years, and the experience he has acquired along the way will
	serve him well as he takes on this challenging new role; now,
	therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
	Legislature hereby honor Dr. Edwin Trevathan on being named
	executive vice president and provost of Baylor University and
	extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
	prepared for Dr. Trevathan as an expression of high regard by the
	Texas House of Representatives.
