| WHEREAS, Garrett Matthew Betros of Boy Scouts of America | ||
| Troop No. 752 in Cameron has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and | ||
| this accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant | ||
| honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the | ||
| scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding | ||
| criteria, Mr. Betros earned the requisite 21 merit badges and | ||
| successfully completed an Eagle Scout project of benefit to his | ||
| community, which involved leading a group of volunteers in painting | ||
| the exterior of a bunkhouse at Morning Star Ranch, a nonprofit youth | ||
| organization; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The son of Glynda and Matthew Betros, this fine | ||
| young Texan has demonstrated outstanding leadership ability | ||
| throughout his scouting career, winning the respect and admiration | ||
| of his fellow scouts as he worked toward the highest rank that | ||
| scouting offers; and | ||
| WHEREAS, His dedication to excellence and his perseverance in | ||
| the pursuit of his goals have proven Eagle Scout Betros worthy to | ||
| stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect with pride | ||
| on a job well done; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Garrett Matthew Betros on | ||
| achieving the rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best | ||
| wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Eagle Scout Betros as an expression of high regard by | ||
| the Texas House of Representatives. | ||
