| WHEREAS, On May 8, 2015, Clarendon College celebrated the | ||
| graduation of the inaugural class in its registered nursing | ||
| transition program; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Developed to address the shortage of medical | ||
| professionals in the Panhandle region, the yearlong program | ||
| prepares licensed vocational nurses to be registered nurses by | ||
| providing participants with a greater scope of practice in | ||
| delivering and coordinating patient care; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Registered nurses are a vital and respected part of | ||
| the health care system, and by acquiring the knowledge and skills | ||
| necessary to excel in this profession, these students are making a | ||
| commendable investment in themselves and in the future of their | ||
| communities; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate the members of the Class of 2015 of | ||
| the registered nursing transition program at Clarendon College and | ||
| extend to each of them sincere best wishes for continued success; | ||
| and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for the program as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas House of Representatives. | ||
