| WHEREAS, Gerald and Nancy Parsons of Lamesa celebrated their | ||
| 60th wedding anniversary on January 5, 2011, and they may indeed | ||
| reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared; | ||
| and | ||
| WHEREAS, Gerald Douglas Parsons and the former Nancy Jo | ||
| Patterson exchanged the vows of matrimony in 1951; on their | ||
| honeymoon in Lubbock, they strolled on the campus of Texas Tech | ||
| University, where in later years several of their children and | ||
| grandchildren would be enrolled as students; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Parsons count among their blessings | ||
| four children and their spouses, Robert Bruce and Carol Parsons, | ||
| Leigh Anna and Tom Hoes, Judith Carol and Greg Holladay, and Beth | ||
| Susan and Tommy Branon, and they have delighted in the addition of | ||
| grandchildren to their family circle; and | ||
| WHEREAS, For six decades, Gerald and Nancy Parsons have | ||
| brought to their marriage kindness and devotion, and it is a | ||
| pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now, | ||
| therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Gerald and Nancy Parsons on their | ||
| 60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for | ||
| continued happiness; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Parsons as an expression of high regard by | ||
| the Texas House of Representatives. | ||
