	H.R. No. 3155



	R E S O L U T I O N

	WHEREAS, The city of Mesquite has greatly benefited from the
	dedicated leadership of the Honorable John Monaco, who has served
	as mayor for eight years; and
	WHEREAS, First elected in 2007, Mayor Monaco has ably guided
	the city with an eye to the future, and his knowledge and expertise
	in a wide range of community issues have earned him the respect of
	many people along the way; and
	WHEREAS, Mayor Monaco has further distinguished himself
	through his involvement with the Texas Municipal League, which he
	has served as president and as an ex officio member of its
	Intergovernmental Risk Pool Board of Trustees, and he has also been
	active on several local, regional, and state boards and
	commissions; in recognition of his vital contributions to the
	community, he was presented with the 2013 Leadership in Member
	Enrollment Award by the Mesquite Chamber of Commerce; and
	WHEREAS, Each day, public servants improve the quality of
	life for their fellow citizens in innumerable ways, and the efforts
	of John Monaco have helped to make Mesquite an even better place in
	which to live and work; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
	Legislature hereby commend Mayor John Monaco for his exemplary
	public service and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future;
	and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
	prepared for Mayor Monaco as an expression of high regard by the
	Texas House of Representatives.
