| WHEREAS, The rank of Eagle Scout is an achievement shared by | ||
| only a select few, and the attainment of this significant honor by | ||
| Johnny Francis Mynar-Melendrez of Eagle Pass heralds a future | ||
| bright with opportunity and promise; and | ||
| WHEREAS, A junior at C.C. Winn High School, | ||
| Mr. Mynar-Melendrez has mastered a number of important skills in | ||
| his quest to become an Eagle Scout; he has earned 25 merit badges | ||
| requiring expertise in such diverse areas as first aid, personal | ||
| fitness, and environmental science, and he has gained experience in | ||
| leadership and teamwork while undertaking an Eagle Scout project | ||
| that has contributed to the betterment of his community; and | ||
| WHEREAS, This fine young Texan has ably served his peers in | ||
| Scouts BSA Troop No. 274 in a designated position of | ||
| responsibility, and in so doing, he has exemplified the many | ||
| positive traits for which Boy Scouts are renowned; and | ||
| WHEREAS, In fulfilling the rigorous requirements for | ||
| attaining the Eagle Scout insignia, Johnny Mynar-Melendrez has | ||
| demonstrated an unwavering commitment to Scouts BSA and its ideals, | ||
| and the knowledge and confidence he has acquired along the way will | ||
| indeed serve him well in the years to come; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Johnny Francis Mynar-Melendrez on | ||
| achieving the rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best | ||
| wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. Mynar-Melendrez as an expression of high regard by | ||
| the Texas House of Representatives. | ||
