| WHEREAS, Lauren Berry of Hewitt was crowned Miss Waco Teen at | ||
| the Miss Waco Pageant on April 12, 2015; and | ||
| WHEREAS, A young woman of exceptional poise and | ||
| determination, Ms. Berry has participated in a number of pageants, | ||
| and her victory in Waco qualifies her to compete in the Miss Texas | ||
| Teen Pageant; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The daughter of Trina Berry and Jimmy Berry, this | ||
| accomplished Texan is a student at Midway Middle School, where she | ||
| is a 2015-2016 junior varsity cheerleader and has been a member of | ||
| the FFA and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Lauren Berry has demonstrated exemplary dedication | ||
| in successfully pursuing her goal, and she is a source of great | ||
| pride for her loved ones, her school, and her community; now, | ||
| therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Lauren Berry on being named Miss | ||
| Waco Teen and extend to her sincere best wishes for a bright future; | ||
| and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Ms. Berry as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
