WHEREAS, Yesenia Delgado of Pharr--San Juan--Alamo North | ||
High School has been named a Youth of the Year in the Head of the | ||
Class Program overseen by the Rio Grande Valley Sector of the | ||
U.S. Border Patrol; and | ||
WHEREAS, The Head of the Class Program recognizes outstanding | ||
seniors at 57 high schools in the Rio Grande Valley every month; | ||
just three students are chosen as Youth of the Year annually; and | ||
WHEREAS, A leader among her peers, Yesenia Delgado is | ||
involved in tennis, soccer, and track, and she devotes countless | ||
hours to worthy causes as a volunteer in the community; after | ||
graduation, she plans to study medicine in college; she is the | ||
daughter of proud parents Pedro Pablo Delgado, Sr., and Imelda | ||
Margarita Delgado; and | ||
WHEREAS, Yesenia Delgado can reflect with pride on her | ||
academic record, extracurricular achievements, and contributions | ||
to her community, and she may indeed look forward to a promising | ||
future; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas | ||
Legislature hereby congratulate Yesenia Delgado on her selection as | ||
a 2013 Youth of the Year by the U.S. Border Patrol and extend to her | ||
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for Ms. Delgado as an expression of high regard by the | ||
Texas House of Representatives. | ||
