WHEREAS, Sandy Joyce has served with distinction as | ||
Democratic Party precinct chair of Precinct 1059 in House District | ||
95; and | ||
WHEREAS, Precinct chairs are integral to the success of their | ||
party's mission to elect public servants who will build a better | ||
state and nation for today's citizenry and for generations to come; | ||
and | ||
WHEREAS, Because public policy affects our daily lives, | ||
individuals must exercise their right to vote, and precinct chairs | ||
play an important role in the election process; their efforts to | ||
inspire voters to support their party's candidates are part of a | ||
proud and vital political tradition; and | ||
WHEREAS, It is most appropriate that we take this opportunity | ||
to recognize an outstanding Texan who has devoted time and energy | ||
toward promoting such goals of the Democratic Party as representing | ||
the interests of working families, fighting for equal | ||
opportunities, and advancing a more just and inclusive society; | ||
now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas | ||
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Sandy Joyce for | ||
serving as Democratic Party precinct chair of Precinct 1059 in | ||
House District 95 and extend to this dedicated community leader | ||
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for Sandy Joyce as an expression of high regard by the | ||
Texas House of Representatives. | ||
